The Rattlesnake was part of Pleasurewood Hills since 1986. Beginning its life as the Ladybird it evolved into The Rattlesnake in the early 1990's.
The re-theme involved altering each of the cars to become part of the snakes body with a head and tail section added to either end of the train. Previously, each individual car was shaped like a ladybird.
In 2016, the attraction closed abruptly mid-season. On 31st January 2017 the park announced that the ride would remain permanently closed.
